The Symposium Technical Digest (Book of Abstracts) can be downloaded here.

All MPLP'2013 participants are kindly requested to submit to the Symposium Secretary abstracts (no more than 50 words) and summaries of their presentations as an attachment by email. The length of summaries must not exceed 2 pages for both invited and contributed papers.

The deadline for the abstract/summary submission is May 24, 2013. The authors of contributed papers will be notified of the acceptance of their papers before (by) June 07, 2013.

A 50-word Abstract must be typed on a separate sheet of paper and arranged with the title at the top of the page. Below the title, type the authors’ names, affiliations, complete mailing addresses, telephone/fax numbers, the presenting author's e-mail, and the body of the Abstract.
In addition
, authors are asked to give, on the same page as the Abstract, the Topic Area from the list of Symposium topics (see “Scientific Program” link at the left).

The Summaries of presentations should be typed single-spaced on separate sheets of A4 paper. The first page of the Summary must include the title of the talk (bolded, 18 point type, centered) at the top of the page, followed by the authors’ names (12 point type, centered), affiliations, and complete mailing addresses (10 point type, centered, italicized). Centre the author list and underline the name of the presenting author. The presenting author's e-mail address may be included in the next line and should be italicized and underlined. The inclusion of an e-mail address is optional. Summaries will be written on the Symposium Technical Digest Compact Disc as submitted. Therefore, if you do not wish your e-mail address to be distributed please do not include it in your Summary. The authors must include all text, drawings, figures and references within the two-page limit. The margins should be set for a 2.54 cm (1 inch) top, bottom, left, and right. The text point size should be 12 pt and the font should be Times New Roman. Pages must not be numbered.

For convenience, you may simply download the template for the preparation of your Summary here Summary template.rtf , Summary template.doc  (MS Word 2007). Please follow the instructions to put your text, figures, references, etc., into the maximum two-page limit. Both MS-Word or converted in PDF format (preferred) files are acceptable. Attach files with the Abstract and Summary to an e-mail message addressed to the Symposium Secretary (mplp.conference@gmail.com) with the subject “MPLP-2013 abstract and summary _ <the first and the second name of presenting author>”. E-mail submissions will be acknowledged by return e-mail (may be with some delay).

 

Information for Authors

For invited papers and all accepted contributed papers, the Abstracts will appear in the Advanced Program on the MPLP’2013 web page. The Summaries will be included in the Symposium Technical Digest CD. One copy of the printed Symposium Program and one copy of the Technical Digest CD will be available at the registration desk at the beginning of the Symposium.

Audio-Visual Equipment

The Lecture Hall will be equipped with an overhead projector for transparencies and a PC data projector for MS Power Point presentations.

Poster Sessions

Several Poster Sessions that will be held in the Exhibition Hall of the “House of Scientists” will be organized. Fixing materials will be provided. The authors should remain in the vicinity of their poster for the duration of the session to answer questions of the participants. Posters should be placed on allocated boards during the morning of the day of presentation, and removed by the end of the same day.

Each author is provided a 1.2 m height x 1.5 m width (approximately 48 inch height x 60 inch width) bulletin board to display his (her) paper. Note that poster presenters are not supplied with any audiovisual equipment.
